A Career-Defining Opportunity...

You know that feeling when you find an account that's spending real money, the creative volume is high, the funnel is built, and the only thing standing between it and the next level is a media buyer who can actually read the signal?

That's the seat we're hiring for.

This is a senior role for a scale operator. Someone who can take a six-figure-a-month Meta account and engineer it into seven, then keep it there. Someone who has lived through three or four platform shifts, knows where the levers are, and has the strategic patience to wait for the signal before pulling them.

The single most important thing about this seat: you read back-end sales data and let it drive your front-end strategy.

Your scoreboard is client profitability. Blended CAC, MER, profit per lead, qualified booked calls, revenue per ad-acquired customer. Cheap leads that don't convert downstream will sink an account, and we expect you to spot that pattern in the data before anyone has to tell you. You live inside the CRM and the attribution stack as much as you live inside Ads Manager, and you build the campaign architecture around back-end profit signal first.

Then you reverse that back-end view into a front-end account structure with enough volume, enough consolidation, and enough signal strength for Meta's algorithm to optimise on. Back-end-led strategy, front-end-fit execution. Plenty of buyers can do one. Far fewer can do both. The ones who can are the ones we want to talk to.

You'll own day-to-day Meta strategy and execution across lead gen, low-to-mid ticket, and high-ticket offers. You'll work alongside a creative team that produces ad volume at AI speed, a Google buyer running paid search and YouTube, and an Account Manager who handles the client relationship so you stay in the work.

Here's what makes this role different at Grip.

We operate in the Andromeda era.

We run consolidated, scalable account structures that absorb creative volume cleanly. We read patterns across time windows. We chase blended profit. We treat creative as the targeting lever it actually is, and your job is to turn performance signal into iteration briefs the creative team can act on. Consolidation, automation, and creative volume do the heavy lifting. You do the thinking.

If you've been doing direct response Meta for a while and you've already moved on from the "more ad sets, more control" school of buying, this could be the seat you've been looking for.

If that sounds like you, keep reading.

Who We Are

Grip is a creative-first direct response advertising agency.

We exist because most ads are terrible, and we think that's a solvable problem.

Our founding belief is that advertising should earn attention the same way the best organic content does: by being worth watching. When you combine that creative standard with serious direct response strategy and AI-powered production at scale, you get ads that people actually stop for, and results that clients can build a business on.

That's why some of the most recognised names in their markets trust us with their advertising. We work with clients spending millions per month on paid media, and we help them acquire high-value customers profitably and consistently.

The people here are sharp, collaborative, and driven by two principles that run through everything we do: Tribe Above Self and Whatever It Takes. If those resonate, you'll feel at home very quickly.

The Person We're Looking For

The right buyer for this seat blends three things that rarely show up together: deep technical Meta chops, the strategic patience to read patterns over noise, and the collaborative instinct to turn data into creative briefs the team can act on.

Back-End-Led, Front-End-Fit

Profitability is your North Star, not platform CPL. You can read a CRM, an attribution platform, and a sales report fluently, and you use that back-end view to shape the front-end account structure. You build for enough top-of-funnel volume and signal strength to feed Meta's algorithm, while ruthlessly protecting back-end economics. When in-platform CPL disagrees with the CRM, you trust the CRM and investigate the gap with evidence.

Andromeda-Era Operator

You've already left the "more ad sets, more control" playbook behind. You build consolidated structures that absorb creative volume and produce clean signal. You know when to test broad, when to use Advantage+, and when to let the system learn before you intervene.

Reads Patterns, Not Noise

You wait for the signal to repeat across a meaningful window before you touch a budget lever. Multi-day trends, statistical confidence, downstream sales data. You can articulate why you did or didn't change something, with evidence.

Creative is Targeting

You treat creative as the most important variable in the account. You collaborate closely with strategists and editors, and you write iteration briefs specific enough to act on. Winners go into a documented taxonomy. Losers teach you something. Either way, the next test gets sharper.

Owns the Account

You see tracking drift, you flag it. A funnel breaks, you escalate within 12 hours with evidence and a path forward. A scaling opportunity opens up, you build the business case (risks, required support, expected outcome) before pushing spend. You don't wait to be told.

Builder Mentality

You document what works. You build SOPs, taxonomies, and changelogs because you've seen what happens to an account when learnings live in one person's head. Winners become repeatable systems. Results compound.

What You'll Do

Meta Buying, Testing & Scaling (60–70%)

  • Build account architecture around back-end profit signal first, then reverse-engineer a front-end structure with enough volume and consolidation for Meta to optimise on
  • Treat client profitability (blended CAC, MER, profit per lead, qualified booked calls) as the North Star, and challenge any in-platform metric that doesn't tie back to it
  • Own day-to-day Meta strategy and execution across lead gen, low-to-mid ticket, and high-ticket offers
  • Run a high-velocity testing roadmap (10 to 50 new ad variations per week), each tied to a written hypothesis
  • Manage approved daily and monthly budgets within guardrails, and reallocate dynamically based on signal
  • Maintain consolidated, scalable account structures (no fragmentation without a documented reason)
  • Pre-flight every launch: destination URLs, UTMs, naming, event mapping, pixel/CAPI health, compliance review, brief alignment
  • Adhere to Meta ad policies, manage disapprovals, and rebuild compliant versions when needed
  • Monitor lead quality through client and sales feedback, and adjust front-end targeting and creative when the back-end says to

Performance Reporting, Data & Creative Iteration (20–30%)

  • Agree a profitability-anchored North Star KPI per client with the Account Manager (blended CAC, MER, profit per lead, qualified booked calls, revenue per ad-acquired customer) plus front-end guardrails (CPL, CPM, CTR, hook rate, hold rate)
  • Validate platform and third-party attribution daily across Meta, Hyros, Wicked Reports, HighLevel, and HubSpot
  • Detect tracking drift early, flag it with evidence, and recommend resolution
  • Spend daily time inside the CRM and sales reports, not just Ads Manager, and feed back-end findings (lead quality patterns, cohort behaviour, deal velocity) into front-end targeting and creative decisions
  • Submit a Daily Performance Diary for each client: wins, work in progress, expected outcomes, constraints, overall account health
  • Keep the Creative Tracker live with launch status, performance, and clear notes on what's winning or losing and why
  • Deliver a weekly Creative Iteration Brief: top winners, top losers and why, the next 10 concepts to build, what to stop doing, priority order

Industry Research, Trend Monitoring & Experimentation (10%)

  • Stay ahead of Meta's algorithm, policy, and feature changes
  • Test new platform features (Advantage+, AI-powered bidding, new placements) with a clear hypothesis and minimum learning thresholds
  • Pull strategies from adjacent verticals (eCommerce, DTC, SaaS) and adapt them for high-ticket info and lead gen
  • Monitor competitor strategies and benchmark patterns to keep the testing roadmap sharp

Decision Rights & Escalation

You have full autonomy over day-to-day optimisations inside approved strategy and budget guardrails: creative rotation, hygiene, optimisation event strategy, consolidations, exclusions, placements, and tactical budget reallocations.

Strategic changes (new funnel direction, major budget step-ups, offer changes, net-new tracking architecture) get proposed to the Account Manager with a clear business case before they go live.

The following must be escalated to the Account Manager within 12 hours: tracking drift between platform and third-party attribution, spend delivery issues, major ad account disapprovals or restrictions, funnel breakages, abnormal CPA spikes, and lead-quality deterioration identified in the data.

Requirements

Experience & Background

  • 5+ years of direct response Meta Ads buying with proven high-spend account management
  • Proven track record of using back-end sales data (CRM, attribution, sales calls feedback) to drive front-end Meta strategy, not just optimising for cheap leads
  • Demonstrable history of scaling accounts past six figures per month into seven, profitably
  • Strong portfolio across lead generation, eCommerce, and high-ticket info offers
  • Hands-on with Meta Ads Manager, Business Manager, and third-party attribution platforms (Hyros, Wicked Reports, HighLevel, HubSpot)
  • Deep understanding of auction dynamics, bidding strategies, pixel/CAPI, first-party data, and attribution modelling
  • Fluent in CRM and attribution tooling (Hyros, Wicked Reports, HighLevel, HubSpot) and able to reconcile platform, attribution, and CRM data into a single picture of profit
  • Track record collaborating with creative strategists, copywriters, designers, video editors, and CRO

Skills & Capabilities

  • Andromeda-era account structure thinking: consolidate for clean signal, scale through creative volume
  • Back-end-led account architecture: you design Meta structures around profit signal first, then engineer enough front-end volume and consolidation for the algorithm to optimise on
  • Strong analytical fluency across platform, attribution, and CRM data, with the judgement to know which one to trust when they disagree
  • Structured testing mindset: written hypotheses, isolated variables, minimum learning thresholds, documented results
  • Pre-launch QA discipline: URLs, UTMs, event mapping, tracking health, compliance review
  • Clear written communication for Daily Performance Diaries, weekly Creative Iteration Briefs, and monthly strategy updates
  • Systems thinking: changelogs, taxonomies, knowledge libraries, repeatable processes

Mindset & Behaviours

  • Patterns over noise: you wait for signal before you pull a lever
  • Profitability obsessed: blended profit and back-end economics are the only scoreboard that matters
  • Full ownership of account performance with no excuses
  • Curious and experimental, with the discipline to isolate variables
  • Highly organised, calendar-driven, and SLA-respecting
  • Collaborative: you brief the creative team with precision and respect the people around you
  • High integrity: client trust, defensible claims, accurate reporting
